ABOUT
Country Roads Trust was the NIL extension of West Virginia University. When the NIL formed, they contracted Wheelhouse Creative, LLC to handle their branding, website, and other marketing needs. About 2 years ago, they requested a rebrand, initially just for promotional swag and give aways, but they liked it so much they took it on as their full brand.
The branding brief was to keep it in vein of their exisiting logo – WVU blue & gold, incorporate the trees and or mountains – but overall update to something that felt more like a sports logo. They wanted bolder fonts and something that would really jump out.
