I first discovered paint pouring in 2019 when I was on the hunt for a new or different painting technique. It’s safe to say that I was addicted to pouring for a while and now have a craft room that is nearly overflowing with paintings. 

What I love about pouring is that no two pieces are the same ever. Even if you carefully measure and pour the exact same colors, in the same order, and are meticulous about everything you do. There’s this rush that comes over me as I pour the paint and discover what the canvas and the paints decide to show me. Rarely does it turn out to be a total disaster and it’s the ultimate proving of art being in the eye of the beholder. Above all of that, it’s easy to create something beautiful. So, when I need that physical creative outlet but don’t have hours or days to sit down and paint, I can dump $8 worth of paint across a canvas and down the drain. Literally.
