It was easiest to combine this into one gallery, but my short trip to Atlanta was a fantastic journey in urban photography. From a trip to the Georgia Aquarium and Olympic park, to a serene walk through one of the oldest cemeteries in the city, and even unique finds at a thrift store, I tried to make the most of a weekend trip.

Civil war plots in Oakland Cemetery. These are a mix of both Union and Confederate soldiers, buried side by side in perfect rows. Separating the politics from the people, they were often lives lost of loved ones and here they were buried with dignity under or in the shadows of sprawling magnolia trees. Canon EOS Rebel T3i.
