ART
My artistic endeavors have always been very wide and varied. I love the feel of acrylic paints sliding across a canvas, and the gritty grind of pencil on paper. I've experimented with oil pastels and print making. My work has given me a passion for digital art and the surprising amount of work that goes into it.
Lately though, my muse has been acrylic paint pouring. The merging of science and art to create these uniquely beautiful works where you can do the exact same thing multiple times, yet each work will turn out completely different fascinates me.
PHOTOGRAPHY
For as long as I've been able to hold a camera I've had one in my hands. I remember getting flash bulbs and film for Christmas and thinking is was the best thing on Earth. I am far from professional and do not profess to even be trying to get there, but I do love a documented adventure.
Unlike my other art endeavors, I'm drawn to black and white photography the most. Maybe it's the designer in me because it forces the viewer to fill in the colors and look for the patterns that help tell the story. And I'm drawn to the textures of life, often taking photos not only of landscapes but also of the more macro elements that make it up.
